Ready to learn how to pickle your own vegetables?
The next Pickle Party class with Tip Top Canning Co is on Wednesday, July 22 at 6 PM!
You’ll walk through the process of making pickled vegetables using different vinegars and spices, with a focus on the fundamentals. This class is designed for beginners and covers all the basics. You’ll leave with practical tips for working with a variety of produce, recipes to use at home, and four different pickled items you made yourself.
All supplies are included in the class fee. Beer and wine will be available for purchase during the class.

Destination Theatre Presents 'Twas: A Drunken Christmas Tale

Destination Theatre (@destinationtheatre) is back at GCB on December 16 at 7 PM with TWAS, a new musical comedy inspired by the Christmas classic ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.Two actors play EVERY character, with a little help from unsuspecting audience members who may find themselves part of the cast. Expect some hilarious original songs and a pretty entertaining take on the chaos of modern Christmas.
If you caught last year’s Whiskey Dickens, you already know these folks put on a great show.

A Guided Cheese & Beer Pairing Experience - Presented by The Chef Upstairs x BeyLoved Pairings
On Thursday, December 17, Chef Julian Pancer of The Chef Upstairs and Joanne Mumbey of BeyLoved Pairings are teaming up at Grand Central Brewhouse for a guided tasting featuring five carefully selected cheeses, three charcuterie selections, and five craft beer and cider pairings.
Guests will get hands-on as they create their own cheese boards to enjoy that evening, complete with delicious accompaniments and globally inspired additions, while exploring how each element pairs with craft beer and cider.
With just 30 tickets available, this intimate experience offers plenty of opportunities to ask questions, explore new flavors, and learn directly from two experienced culinary and beverage professionals.
What’s Included:
Five 6 oz beer and cider pours: Four beers and one cider, selected to complement the tasting.
Five cheeses and three charcuterie selections + complementary accoutrements.: A variety of styles, textures, and flavors to explore.
A guided pairing experience:
Learn how different beer and cider styles interact with cheese, from contrasting flavors to complementary pairings.
Cheese board tips from Chef Julian: Learn about cheese selection, cutting techniques, and presentation so you can put together an impressive spread at home.
Throughout the evening, Chef Julian and Joanne will guide guests through each pairing, sharing tips for crafting the perfect cheese board, insights into the cheeses and beverages, and explanations of why certain combinations work so well together.
Meet Your Hosts:
Chef Julian Pancer is a certified Red Seal chef, trained fromagier, and co-owner of The Chef Upstairs.
Originally based in Toronto and now bringing his expertise to St. Pete, Julian specializes in interactive culinary experiences and has a particular passion for cheese. He'll share his knowledge of cheese styles, production, tasting, and presentation throughout the evening.
Joanne Mumbey is the founder of BeyLoved Pairings LLC, a Certified Cicerone® and Certified Pommelier™. Her expertise in beer, cider, and food pairing brings a unique perspective to the tasting, helping guests understand how ingredients, flavors, and textures interact.
