It’s May - Mental Health Awareness month and we have partnered with great friends and industry leaders to raise awareness, make moves, and raise funds for @namipinellas. ๐ป
We first learned about National Alliance on Mental Illness from our friends in the craft beer industry; Amanda King, formerly of Hawthorne Bottle Shoppe and Adrian Castro, formerly of Union Beer Store at an event hosted for NAMI at Tripping Animals Brewing a few years back and are thrilled to be a part of this campaign to raise awareness of NAMI and funds for such a great local non-profit.
NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Pinellas supports individuals & loved ones affected by mental illness so that they can build better lives. What started as a small group of families gathered around a kitchen table in 1979, has blossomed into the nation’s leading voice on mental health. Today, they are in our community to raise awareness, train peers, and provide support and education for the one in five individuals affected by a mental health condition.
๐บ Grand Central Brewhouse will be donating a portion of profits from three Brew Good Partner beers throughout the month of May to NAMI - Pinellas and Wednesday, May 7th will be the main event at GCB with all tips from guest bartenders; Stacy (GCB), Amanda King (formerly Hawthorne Bottle Shoppe), Megan and Colleen (Hawthorne Bottle Shoppe OG’s), going to NAMI Pinellas.
โจ๏ธ The event will be held upstairs at Grand Central Brewhouse from 5PM – 7PM with Pretty Ricky dropping the dope beats that we know you all love, with the fabulous beers being poured from the lovely bartenders who will be donating their tips during this time frame. Please come out and show your support and let’s normalize conversations about mental health, and in turn, ending the stigma that exists in regard to mental health.
